FHUB Student Proceed as Official Brawijaya Delegates for HNMUN 2016

(Malang 29/5/2015) One student from faculty of law has successfully passed as the official Brawijaya delegates for HNMUN. Harvard National Model United Nations is a competition of simulation session of Model United Nation (MUN), and is the largest and most prestigious MUN in the whole-world. The range of HNMUN2016 activities will be held at Harvard University, Boston, Massachusetts, USA, January 2016.

The student is Kristiyanto, a second year student (4th semester) in international class, in addition to Kristiyanto, in total there are 10 other students from various faculties. “I am very proud to be selected as UB delegate in the most prestigious MUN event in the world” he added. He explained that there are several selection stages that must be passed, the first is the administrative selection  by sending CV and Motivation Letter, from  hundreds of applicants, there are selected the best 75, and then the second stage of selection is the essay with the theme given by the committees, which is then taken the best 45, then, the next selection is the FGD (Focus Group Discussion) which ultimately results in the best 25. And finally the last stage is a walk-in interview that ultimately choosen the best 10 delegates who will be officially entitled to represent UB in the event of HNMUN 2016. Now, those delegates are focusing upon looking for sponsorship for the program.

The 62th HNMUN is an annual competition held by Harvard University. Even though there are lots of similar type of MUN, but HNMUN is the largest and most prestigious Model UN simulation in the world. During the events there will be approximately 3000 delegates from all over the world who will show their best performances at Harvard.
